Social Justice Statement
We believe in equality for all, and are passionate about creating affirming & accessible spaces. We acknowledge the necessity of anti-oppression and anti-racism work and are devoted to continuing to cultivate communities that are inclusive of humans of all races, abilities, cultures, sexual orientations, bodies, gender identities and backgrounds. We are also committed to continual learning and growth in this areas and spaces.
Accessibility Statement
We are committed to being an accessible and inclusive space. We want to acknowledge the accessibility that our workshop currently supports and some limitations. We are continuing to learn and are always open to feedback around accessibility considerations. Please reach out if you have a specific accessibility need and we will always do our best to provide an accommodation.
– Our workshop is a first floor location. The front door has a ramp and automatic doors. There are bathrooms on the first floor as well. This training is fully wheelchair accessible.
– We have multiple options for seating available for our workshop. We are committed to fat liberation and have taken that into consideration in providing options.
– We are using large fonts for powerpoint presentations.
– We will offer breaks to allow folks to care for their needs throughout the day.
– We offer individual telehealth consultations as an alternative to the in-person workshop.
– We offer payment plans through afterpay to pay for our workshop in 4 interest-free installments.
Limitations
– The signage on the bathroom is binary and non-inclusive. We will continue to work to change this. Please use any bathroom you feel comfortable using.
